Sick, injured and homeless pets have relied on us since 1897. Thousands of abandoned or unwanted, ill or injured, pets turn to us for help every year. Our doors are always open to them, and with your support, they always will be.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Having lived with animals for more than 18 years I know just what a difference pets can make to a person's life. They provide companionship, exercise, a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, and unconditional love and affection.

The Blue Cross works tirelessly to ensure that they do what’s needed to give every pet a healthy life in a happy home, whether abandoned or unwanted, ill or injured. They offer rehoming for pets whose owners no longer want them or are unable to look after them; they provide hospital services for people who cannot afford to pay private vet's fees; they run training and behavioural courses to make people aware of the commitment of taking on a pet; and they provide a bereavement service for those who are struggling to cope having lost their beloved animal.

The Blue Cross is a charity that is so close to my heart because of all the fantastic things they do. I am hoping to raise £1500 by running the London Marathon so that they can continue this amazing work. Over the year I will be thinking of exciting ways to raise money and make sponsorship more fun but any amount you can give, whether little or large, will really help me reach my goal.

Thank you! And (hopefully) see you at the finish line!
