Story

I did it!!!!! A total of 115.8 miles with the hilliest route along the side of the Yorkshire Moors to Hovingham Hall, legs were like jelly that evening but a delicious dinner & great company was perfect that night.  Then followed the hardest day across to Ripley Castle, legs complained from the start, my paniers were full to bursting adding a huge amount of weight to the bike.  Add to that the wind in my face the whole way, it was a matter of head down & plough on with lots of stops to refuel.

After a long hot soak (sore bottom), a snuggly sleep & a lie in, I had the company of Ricco Darbishire, Mark Ropner & briefly Peter Sutcliffe for the final leg to Clifton Castle.  We were met just by Nick Downshire for the final few miles.

Ending in a lovely drinks party at Clifton we have raised over £4,000 which is fabulous.......Thank you, thank you, thank you!
