Story

Hi All,

I wanted to share some exciting news… I’m running the London Marathon 2024 (along with my husband Rob). Following my bunion surgery on both feet and hitting 60 this year, I wanted a personal challenge and to also support a great charity – the British Red Cross.

I’m absolutely thrilled they have chosen me to represent them!

I’ve been an Emergency Response Volunteer for the Red Cross since 2019 and this has enhanced my awareness to the scope of work and support the Red Cross covers, both in the UK and Internationally.

I thoroughly enjoy my role which involves attending call outs such as fire and floods, together with assisting the local community, whether it be the vaccination centres during covid, helping the vulnerable through utility outage or supporting refugees from Afghanistan and Ukraine.

All donations will go to causes like these and many more!

They truly make a difference in crisis!

With this in mind, I am proud to run for such an amazing organisation and that Rob is joining me too. I would be delighted if you could also join us on this exciting journey and support The British Red Cross by sharing this page and donating what you can. Thank you!

I look forward to sharing my progress and news with you all.
