A Shining Light

Ryan Gardiner is raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust
In memory of Luke Stevens
We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

If you're here, it's already likely that you know our story, but just in case you don't...

A Shining Light was launched in July 2022 in memory of Luke, our very own shining light. Luke sadly lost his battle with osteosarcoma the year previously, and we've been working tirelessly ever since to ensure that we provide him with a fitting legacy to remember his shining spirit.

Our charity is school-based organisation that also works out in the community of Howden, East Yorkshire. The charity is determined to educate and raise awareness of cancer in young people as well as working with them to improve their overall physical and mental health too. Since July 2022, including funds raised through JustGiving, we've raised over £32,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust.

You can find out more about us on our website - www.ashininglight.org.uk. You can also find us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!
