Really sorry, I tried asking them for help but they didn't listen. I love you all, I really do.

These are the final words Ashleigh sent over WhatsApp before taking her own life on 6th February 2023. Ashleigh was the bravest person we ever knew, but even she needed help sometimes.

Ashleigh was born on 29 March 1996, daughter to Norson and Rachel, baby sister to Sophie and twin sister to Thomas. Throughout her life she suffered  with mental health difficulties including depression and gender dysphoria, but she used these to her advantage as she helped people come to terms with their own gender identity and struggles. Unfortunately when she asked for help in her moment of need from professionals, she wasn't able to access the help she so desperately needed.
