London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·
This is crazy. I’ve never been very fit, if anything I was the one friends and family would take this piss out of for getting out of breath all the time. I was also the last person to finish any form of running at schools, and would plead sickness during cross country. So it honestly is crazy to think that I’m going to run a marathon! I really wanted something other than yoga to help both my mental and physical health. I cut a lovely ladies hair during the london marathon last year and I got totally swept up in the buzz there was. So thought I’d give this running thing ago, and if I’m going to do it I’m going to help a worthy cause.
Cats have been a constant my whole life, most of which have come from the cats protection. My boys Gatsby & Hendrix are my babies whole-heartedly; I adopted them from my friends who without the cats protection would not have been able to care for them, their siblings or their mother. Literally saving their ‘real’ cat mums life. I chose to support them to really give back and help other defenceless kittens who need a home survive & get one.
I’m signed up to do 2 races, 2 years for the cats protection. This means I run a half marathon this year (2020) and the full london marathon next year. Scary I know. I’ll be doing the Hackney half marathon on May 17th this year, and will then continue to train ready for the london marathon next year.
I need all the support I can get. Tips & hints for running, plus your £££ please for the kitty cats! Anything large or small is hugely appreciated
