For over 40 years the South County Family YMCA has served our community, adapting to meet the changing needs of the community. Today those needs are urgent, as the continued impact of COVID-19 has greatly affected families and individuals. When schools and many other businesses closed, the Y stepped up to provide basic needs, addressing gaps in service, and supporting our neighbors. We reached out to our senior members to make sure they had the resources they needed and provided a moment of connection to our most vulnerable population. We immediately transitioned to provide emergency care for essential personnel. As schools moved from in-person to virtual learning, we worked closely with the Mehlville School District to provide the Y Enrichment Program(YEP), a safe and engaging academic program created to give parents the opportunity to work while their children received a high-quality education. 

While we can't predict the lasting effects of the pandemic, we know that we need to help rebuild what was lost - socially, mentally, and academically. With your donation to the Annual Campaign, we will continue to answer the call from our community and remain a reason that strong kids and a healthy community can recover.
