Edinburgh Kiltwalk 2024 · 15 September 2024 ·

We provide specialist palliative care to patients across Forth Valley, Cumbernauld & Kilsyth in the Hospice and in patients' own homes. We need to raise £19,452 every day and with your support we can help our patients to live well right up until the end of their life and make every moment count.

Story

Ashley

“As some of you will know, Strathcarron Hospice is a charity really close to my heart! My amazing Dad was diagnosed with cancer and his palliative care was carried out by the amazing team at Strathcarron Hospice. He was comfortable and spent his final days there. Everyone involved in his care were amazing and also looked after my Mum and I especially on his last day before he passed away in April 2013.

This hospice needs fundraising to keep going and I wanted to really do something to raise money, my friend Sinead was looking for a Kiltwalk buddy and I volunteered! Approximately 21 miles to walk but all in the name of fundraising.”

Thank you for taking the time to read this

As an independent hospice, Strathcarron cares for over 1,400 people every year at a time when both they and their family need it most. The Hospice philosophy is about living until you die and the team ensure people have every opportunity to achieve their goals right up until the last moment. To do this, the charity needs to raise over £14,635 a day to keep its services running. Please support me as I challenge myself for Strathcarron Hospice. Just £24 can pay for one hour of nursing care and really will make a difference. Thank you.
