Last year I raised money for this same charity by taking part in the Edinburgh half marathon. So if you are sponsoring me again then I honestly can't thank you enough!

This year I have decided to double the distance and take part in my firsr full marathon. And given my current fitness levels and aches and pains, it is set to be 26.2 miles of blood, sweat and tears. 

Many of you may be aware that I was chosen by Vassos Alexander from BBC radio 2's Chris Evans show and have met with organisers of the event to share my story (although I seriously doubt I will be starting a career in television anytime soon, and I am quite nervous at how it will come across when it is aired)

Thank you once again for reading this, and hopefully together we can stop the stigma surrounding depression and mental illness and all live to see another day.
