<p> <p> <p>We will cover up to 15 summits of over 660m in the breathtaking scenery of the Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons National Park.</p> <p>We will need good navigation and hill skills to meet this challenge. &nbsp;It has all the characteristics of a mountain expedition, crossing peaks and valleys; walkers describing themselves as &lsquo;fit&rsquo; take an average of 11 hours to complete it.</p> </p> <p>Longtown Mountain Rescue Team is part of Mountain Rescue England and Wales, a voluntary organisation, which is permanently on call from the police to assist in rescue incidents on difficult or inaccessible terrain.&nbsp;</p> <p>Members of the Team are unpaid and all of the Team&rsquo;s equipment (vehicles, stretchers, communications equipment, casualty care materials etc.), has to be bought from donations and from funds raised during events such as this.</p> </p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
