Story
Hi to all!
Assets for Life is committed to charity and fundraising and loves to give back with both donations and our time.
This year, we will be attempting to travel the longest distance as a team on a static cycle in 24 hours.
We will have a team of AFL staff/ mentees/ members/ friends and family to help us raise as much money as possible for our chosen charities which we actively support throughout the year.
Colchester Night Shelter is our chosen local charity who support members of the community in not just housing, but with food, shelter and helping to make people's futures brighter. We enjoy going down to the Shelter to help with cooking dinners for groups and also donating bedding for the residents. We are always trying to improve the lifestyle and attitude of our local community and continue to support the great work the Night Shelter does.
We also help families in need to build their homes in Colombia, based on the connection with one of our director's home country. We have so far helped families by educating them and assisting them in building their own homes; and we wish to continue supporting them and build more houses! Assets for Life provide the materials and structural and architectural designs for the residents to allow them to then build their own homes. The family in need we have chosen have sadly lost everything in a house fire, and we will be helping them to build a new home.
Come and cheer us on at David Lloyd Gym Colchester
Friday 14th December 12pm- Saturday 15th December 12pm
All donations will go straight to our chosen charities, and we would love to see you for support! We will be having one bike on the 24 hour cycle and another bike available for sign up to take part in the sponsored cycle. Contact the organiser, Rebecca Wade, for a slot (Rebecca.wade@assetsforlife.co.uk)
Thank you!!
