Story

Assurity Consulting are sponsoring the Swimarathon at The Pavillions in the Park in Horsham on Sunday March 12th 2017.

The Swimarathon is a really fun event and involves teams of 6 swimming as many lengths collectively as possible in 55 minutes. The winner of the event is the team who completes the most amount of lengths in the allocated time slot.

Darren Lloyd from Assurity Consulting is entering team 'The Doggy Paddlers'. They will be swimming their hardest and fastest to raise money for our community partner, Chestnut Tree House. The team is made up of Maisie Standen, Freya Knight, Olivia Lloyd, Hannah Callahan, Ben Bolton and Leon Taylor who are all part of the Worthing Swimming Club (WSC).

Chestnut Tree House is the only children's hospice for Sussex and South East Hampshire and cares for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age.

It currently costs well over £3.5m each year to provide all the care services provided by Chestnut Tree House and they rely heavily on the generosity, help and support of the people of Sussex.

After being to see the hospice ourselves it is clear to see that they are amazing at what they do. The house is kitted out the best equipment to make the families lives easier and they have lots of different themed rooms to keep the children entertained. Chestnut Tree House not only provides care for the children but also provides support for parents, siblings and grandparents too!
