In memory of JJ

2017 will be 10 years since my brother passed away. From now until June I will be doing various fundraising events to raise donations for the charity CALM - the aim is to raise £4,500 for CALM - the amount it takes to keep their helpline open for one week. My brother was the most kind hearted young man you could meet - friendly, intelligent and honest. He bravely lived with his mental health issues for over 10 years but life got too much for him and he took his own life in June 2007. I miss him everyday and wish he could have been here to share all the big family moments he has missed over the past decade and he could have continued to achieve so much in his academic career of computing and mathematics. He will always be in my heart and I'm so grateful that I got to spend 24 years of my life with him. My brother cannot tell his own story anymore but I will try to keep him memory alive for him as long as possible by dedicating a large part of my life trying to prevent other siblings going through the same pain of losing a loved one. CALM is a charity close to my heart - i was a trustee for three years and I have seen their vital work change lives and save men and women from taking their own lives. If you would like to make a donation to CALM in memory of my brother - you can do here. Thank you and if you or you know someone who might need help - CALMs helpline number is: 0800 58 58 58. X
