Story

This page was set up as a result of an initiative from former Wolves captain Karl Henry, working with Wolves Foundation (of which he is an ambassador) and the Wolves Former Players Association to raise funds for the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust.

On this page, donations were made (without Gift Aid added) for a raffle (draw due to take place via 'Louise Cobbold Art' Facebook page on Wednesday 13 May 2020 at 8pm) to win a framed original acrylic on canvas painting by Wolves' match day programme cover artist Louise Cobbold, as featured on the cover for Wolves’ most recent home Europa League fixture against Espanyol on 27 February 2020 as well as a framed A2 limited edition print of this painting.

As a result of the incredible generosity of Wolves' fans across the world, funds raised will make a huge difference to the capacity to treat Covid-19 at Wolverhampton's New Cross Hospital.

This page was linked with several others to pursue an overall target of £50,000 to be donated to the Trust.

The fund followed substantial support from the Wolves first team squad and staff with a six-figure donation to the Trust, along with the donation of PPE to local hospitals and care facilities by club owners, Fosun.

Thank you to everyone who played their part in raising a fantastic amount for our courageous NHS workers.
