Mercy4Mankind Charity Challenge 2019 · 22 June 2019 ·

The "Mercy4Mankind Charity Challenge" is an annual non-profit campaign by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA) encouraging people from across the UK to raise money for British charities by running, walking, hiking or cycling!

Story

In many countries, children have limited access to education and often do not complete their studies or underachieve through lack of resources, poverty and poor health. It is estimated that 75 million children do not attend school (UNESCO), and in deprived areas, one teacher supports almost 50 children. Literacy rates are around 50% in these countries.
In 2018 we raised funds to build 5 schools in Asia and Africa. This year we are partnering again with Humanity First to build 10 schools in Africa. Humanity First is building and running schools and vocational training centres, and offering subsidised education for all that have already assisted over 150,000 people.

................................................

The Mercy4Mankind Charity Challenge is an annual campaign by AMYA UK which encourages its British Muslim youth members to fundraise for British causes and take part in the various events organised throughout the year. All funds raised will be distributed to charity partners and officially supported charities to help them with their causes. AMYA UK does not take out any staff costs as all organisers are volunteers so 100% of the funds received will go towards the causes.
