DAY ONE are helping over 1500 major trauma patients annually in Leeds on the road to recovery. This puts an enormous pressure on the charity which is offering support 24/7, via a helpline and provides peer support, training and education for staff, state-of-the art medical equipment and an emergency fund to help families struggling financially. 

The Greek Orthodox Community of Leeds (GOCL) is the house of the Greek Orthodox Church and Greek school in Leeds. Number one priority for 2018 is to house its flourishing Greek School in its newly purchased premises. 

Both charities have similar needs and profiles. We both have great people, we both support our people and care about offering them a better tomorrow and we both need to upgrade our facilities to continue do what we do!

Η DAY ONE, κάθε χρόνο, στηρίζει και παρέχει ανακουφιστική φροντίδα σε 1500 σοβαρά τραυματίες στο Leeds. Η DAY ONE είναι μη κερδοσκοπικός οργανισμός με περιορισμένους οικονομικούς πόρους και υποδομές και παρέχει 24ωρη συμβουλευτική υπηρεσία, μέσω γραμμής βοήθειας, αλληλοϋποστήριξη των ασθενών, εκπαίδευση προσωπικού, ιατρικό εξοπλισμό τελευταίας τεχνολογίας, και έκτακτη χρηματοδότηση σε οικογένειες που αντιμετωπίζουν οικονομικές δυσκολίες.

 Η Ελληνική Ορθόδοξη Κοινότητα του Leeds, επίσης μη κερδοσκοπικός οργανισμός, έχει υπό τη στέγη της την Ελληνική Ορθόδοξη Εκκλησία και το Ελληνικό Σχολείο του Leeds. Κύριος στόχος για το 2018 είναι η στέγαση του συνεχώς αναπυσσόμενου Ελληνικού Σχολείου σε ιδιόκτητο κτήριο.   Οι δύο φορείς ταιριάζουν στους σκοπούς και τις ανάγκες τους . Στελεχώνονται από ικανούς ανθρώπους, υποστηρίζουν τα μέλη τους και την κοινωνία, και μεριμνούν για ένα καλύτερο αύριο. Παράλληλα όμως έχουν ανάγκη να βελτιώσουν τις υποδομές τους για να συνεχίσουν το έργο τους!
