This year The Bright Horizons Foundation for Children in the UK and Ireland is celebrating its tenth anniversary. We now support over 7,000 children who are experiencing disadvantage. We work with community agencies to create Bright Spaces to provide children and families undergoing crisis and living in temporary accommodation - such as domestic violence shelters or refugee centres - with a place to play, learn, have fun and most of all feel safe. Children who are uprooted, experiencing homelessness, domestic violence or other crisis situations usually don't have the chance to make friends, play or learn. They desperately need the opportunity to have a childhood: Our objective is to provide them with that opportunity. To mark our important milestone we are launching a BOLD and BRAVE cycle challenge and DREAMing big. The Challenge will see seven brave Bright Horizons colleagues cycling from our most Northern nursery in Aberdeen, Scotland on May 6th ending at The Grand Hotel, Brighton on May 19th for the start of the 2015 Awards of excellence event - a 750 mile challenge, which includes over 34,000 feet of climbing! Our fantastic cyclists are Jeremy Clark, Cheryl Zanni, Lee Latter, James Sharrod, Brian Halstead, Nick Collins and Caley Rankin.
