A Trek For Tristan

I'd like to thank anyone on here for taking the time to donate to such a worthy cause. I wanted to do something in memory of Tristan, something that I thought he would have enjoyed whilst raising money for the teenage cancer trust - so, I decided to do the 6 day dog sledding challenge in Sweden for Teenage Cancer Trust in February of 2014.
I will be travelling over 200km in temperates ranging roughly between -30 and -40 degrees. The journey starts, and ends, in Kiruna, the northernmost city in sweden, 145km north of the arctic circle. My days will consist of looking after my own team of dogs that i will be assigned for the week, cleaning up after them, feeding them etc, cooking, driving the dog sled between 25 and 60km a day, fetching water, chopping wood, making a fire, heating water, and so on.
I have lots of fundraising ideas which I will begin to really act on as soon as my exams are over. I also thought it would be a good idea to set up this account in the interests of being able to raise more money for such a good cause. I hope that I will be able to meet and exeed my goal of the money i need to raise for this expedition, and be able to give as much money as possible towards helping young adults who suffered as Tristan did. Rest in peace Tristan, you will be sorely missed.
