I never realised until a friend had a stroke in late 2019 that 100,000 strokes happen each year in the UK, and 1 in 4 happen to somebody of working age. Great treatment and support helped him recover. To do my bit I planned to run the Berlin Marathon for #TeamStroke in September 2020. The pandemic threw a spanner in that, and again in September 2021!  Throughout that time the Stroke Association kept doing its good work with patients and carers. Stroke Association believes everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke.
