My Global Odyssey is to be the first British woman to run both an extreme  100k (62 miles) and a marathon on all 7 continents.

I first started to raise funds for Alzheimer Scotland in 2013 when I ran a marathon and a 100k in Antarctica. I have continued to take on extreme running challenges to raise more funds running at the North Pole, the Atacama Desert, The Namibian desert and a frozen steppe in Mongolia.

In 2017 I got the idea for the Global Odyssey 100 - GO100 - to go on and complete 100k on the remaining continents and to make each one as hard and as challenging as I can. Then, in February 2018 I realised that I was on track to complete both a marathon and a 100k on each continent and so the Global Odyssey got upgraded.

In November 2013 I completed the Antarctic 100k along with the Antarctic Ice Marathon.

In October 2017 I completed the G100 Europe leg when I took on and the Grand Raid des Cathars a 100k with a massive amount of ascent. I have run numerous European marathons.

On 12th August 2018 I completed the Global Odyssey Gobi 100k  for the Asian leg. In 2017 I had completed the Genghis Khan Ice Marathon.

On 16th  January 2019 on the third attempt I completed the African G100 when I ran 100k in the Ounila valley in the low Atlas Mountains in Morrocco.

That is 4 continents with both a marathon and a 100k completed. The next G100 will be in Argentina in Patagonia in April 2019.

I am an ordinary person: a mum and wife and I work full-time. Running is my passion and I have always loved a challenge. I am also passionate about charity and so use my running to fundraise.

All the money that I raise will stay in Scotland, and specifically, is used on projects in Glasgow and the surrounding area.

All donations go direct to Alzheimer Scotland and my challenge trips are self-funded or independently sponsored.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please consider digging deep and making a donation because every penny counts.
