Mayflower 400 Breakwater Swim 2020 · 27 September 2020

The Chestnut Appeal for Men's Health fundraises for nurses, equipment and treatment, as well as providing, awareness campaigns on prostate cancer, the most common cancer in men, right across Devon and Cornwall. We also raise awareness of testicular cancer and penile cancer in our communities.

Story

On 6th September Audrey, with her Dad will set off from the beach at Firestone Bay and  will swim to Drakes Island and back!  This is a 1.5km open water swim!!

The most she has swam in one go is 1km, and that was in a pool! So this is a huge challenge - however being the mermaid she is, and with her dad beside her the whole way encouraging her on we are sure she will do it!

As many of you know, prostate cancer is close to this family, and Audrey was keen to do something to help.  All fundraising from this will go to The Chestnut Appeal for Mens health - a charity working with raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer patients in Devon and Cornwall.

Please help motivate Audrey by sponsoring her for this huge challenge! We're so proud of her pushing herself, and going that extra mile (literally!!) to show her support.

Many thanks
