Over the past few years, life for our family has been a struggle after our twin daughters were both diagnosed with the life limiting condition, left ventricular non-compaction cardiomyopathy. 

Since the girls returned home from hospital we have received support and love from numerous charities and are so grateful for the help they have offered us and the ability to return to as much normally as possible. 

Both Aurelia and Aurora’s heart failure has been stabilised and life is finally more settled  so we would like to offer something back to other children and families going through hardship. 

On 1st May both girls will have their first haircut and donate their hair to Little Princess Trust, a fantastic charity who make real hair wigs for children suffering from hair loss and cancer. 

Aurelia and Aurora are excited and nervous about their first haircut, but have decided they also wish to raise money for Children’s Hospice Southwest, their favourite place on earth, where we visit every couple of months for respite. 

CHSW is the most incredible charity and their ‘homes’ where children with life limiting conditions and families get to visit are beyond magical. The support they have offered us over the years is incredible, and we are so grateful for their help. The girls are besotted with the workers and look forward to our visits, counting down the days until our next visit.
