Story

(To my Italian friends:

UniCredit has trouble processing this payment and could temporarily block your card. Easily solvable in 5 minutes from what I have been told, but still a pain so do not worry, if you don't have a different card to donate just wish me good luck:))

In a moment of boldness (or possibly mild delusion), I signed up for this 54-mile adventure—cycling my way through the South of England, from London to Brighton, where I fully intend to dip my toes in some very chilly water.

Now, I do cycle daily… but my bike has a motor, and it knows it’s helping. Because it is.

This time, though, it’s all on me—no quiet hum of assistance, just my own two legs and 54 miles of road to prove I am, if nothing else, very stubborn.

Why am I doing this? To raise money for a cause I care deeply about—and to prove that questionable decisions can sometimes lead to wonderful outcomes (and possibly very sore legs).

I’ve been living with chronic circulatory issues for most of my life, and biking has helped me tremendously. So what better way to give back?

Any support you can give is deeply appreciated.

I’ll be training hard over the next two months, and knowing you’re cheering me on will keep me pedalling, especially when the hills start talking back.

No donation is too small—and if you were wondering what to get me for my birthday in June… problem solved. Nothing would make me happier than reaching my fundraising goal.

Please wish me luck—and let’s hope I don’t get lost on the way.

The BHF fund around £100 million of research each year into all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them. Heart diseases. Stroke. Vascular dementia. Diabetes. They're all connected, and they're all under our microscope.

Thousands of people every year are helped through the research we do. Research funded by everyday people, like you.

Every donation you make helps fund scientific breakthroughs. Fundraise for the BHF and help us turn science fiction into reality.
