At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Dear all

I am writing to request your support to participate in a fundraising event for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Its been almost a year since we lost Pa/Papa/Paji/Rajesh to dementia. Pa was known by his family and friends as a strong, independent and inspiring person who fought his dementia until the end.

It was a daily struggle for him and fortunately as a family we were able to care and look after him day and night. Sadly, there are a lot of families that cannot provide the same care to their loved ones who are suffering from dementia.

This is where charities like Alzheimer's Society step in, they provide the help that these families need.

Unfortunately, there is not enough support or funding provided by the NHS for dementia patients or their families. This is why such charities make a significant difference and are a great cause to support.

What I remember most about Pa, was his kindness and generosity and, how I could forget.... his absolute love for keeping fit!

It goes without saying that Pa's presence is missed every day, and I feel this is a brilliant opportunity to commemorate his love for fitness and endless generosity.

Thank you for participating and donating!
