Usher Syndrome Type 2 Awareness Fundraiser

Usher Syndrome Type 2 Awareness Fundraiser · 19 August 2022
Ava is the sweetest, happiest, fun loving little girl who is loved so much by all our family.
Ava is just 2 years old, and was born with a hearing impediment. Further investigations have found that she has a very rare and mostly unknown genetic condition called ‘Usher Syndrome Type 2’, details of which can be found on the Internet.
Her Mummy and Daddy have been told that she is at a very high risk of losing her sight.
It is for this reason that I feel a great need to do something positive. I set up this ‘Just Giving’ page with the hope of raising £50,000, which will be linked directly to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Usher Syndrome Research Department.
I cannot do this on my own, but if you will help me with your generosity, together we will make a difference.
If your donation can be ‘gift aided’ it will of course increase the amount significantly.
Ava is now under the care of Great Ormond Street Hospital, and my prayer is that there will be enough funding for a breakthrough to find a cure for Ava and enable her to live a normal and fulfilling life.
All I can say is thank you for reading this, and if you can support this charity, I and all our families will be extremely grateful to you. The more awareness there is of this condition, the more funding will be raised for research.
Thank you,
Christine
