Update 20 Aug 2010:
I completed the Coast to Coast walk of 192 miles over 15 days. I started on the 5th Aug and finished on the 19th Aug. Despite a couple of days bad weather in the Lake District, I really enjoyed the walk. It was great fun. Met a lot of new people and saw some beautiful country side. Towards the end a friend of mine Tom joined me for 3 days and on the last day of my walk my family Fiona, Sam, Adam, our dog Teddy and Sam's girl friend Rina joined me. It was great 50th birthday present and helped me to raise some money towards the local charity I support. Thank you very much for your donation. It is much appreciated.
Initial Entry:
To celebrate my 50th birthday this year I would like to raise money to support the work of a local charity, Hearts and Souls. Hearts and Souls is a cardiac rehabilitation charity which provides support to people recovering from heart surgery and for those with heart conditions. The highly dedicated nurses and trainers who work with Hearts and Souls run excercise classes throughout Buckinghamshire and provide advice and guidance in all heart related matters to those who need it.
Hearts and Souls needs new gym equipment and I am hoping to raise enough money to provide new exercise bikes and rowing machines. All money raised will go direct to the charity.
So....Please sponsor me, Anthony Vimal, to walk Alfred Wainwright’s Coast to Coast 190 mile walk from St Bees to Robin Hood’s Bay, starting on Thursday 5th August 2010 and finishing on 18th August.
Hearts and Souls is a local registered charity (No. 1074811). For more information about the charity please contact charity's Treasurer David Fairclough on david_fairclough@btinternet.com,
