Story

A group of Year 6 at Awliscombe Primary School are taking on the Exmoor Challenge on the 30th April.

They will have to walk unaccompanied across Exmoor, whatever the weather. Navigating themselves they need to complete 16 miles across the desolate moorland within a 6 hour window.

The event, organised by Exmoor Rotary, raises money for Children's Hospice South West.

The children are keen to raise as much as they can for this charity that does incredible work helping children whose illnesses means their life will be cut short. The charity supports the whole family giving medical care but also emotional and social support to their parents and siblings during the most difficult days.

This challenge will really test the kids physically and mentally, especially if the weather is awful up on on the Moor. So please dig deep and support them. THANK YOU!
