Almost 10 years ago I lost my little brother to brain cancer, he would be 14 if he was here today.

 Obviously it was nothing any family should have to go through, but it went as smooth as possible with the help of Helen and Douglas house.

 They help the families of terminally ill children and teens in the UK. As I was a child, my sister and I were cared for so my mum could have some time. This was in fact where I first started gaming, as my brother got worse and we knew he was going to die we began staying there in the guest rooms. Children would be cared for and I spent allot of time gaming. I still believe to this day that I would not be as into gaming as I am if it wasn’t for that period of time, I would therefore not have grown an interest for graphic design which is now what I am perusing a career in.

 Helen house didn’t just kick us out after he died, they continued to support us over the following year.
