Being diagnosed with a terminal illness can turn your world upside down. We're here to help people make the most of the time they have left, and provide expert care so that they can die with dignity. Your donation today will help us to be here for people in East London when they need us.

Story

This is a joint page for Ayse & Ines. We need to raise £250 each so we decided to put the amount together which totals to £500.

I (Ayse) lost my mum on June 11th 2016 to Bowel cancer. The cancer rapidly spread to my mum's brain and she spent a considerable amount of time in St Joseph's Hospice until she passed away. The care we all received was amazing and they made sure mum was as comfortable as possible. The hospice is still supporting me to this day and that is a testament to how much they really care not only for the patient, but for all those involved.

I have only been back to the hospice once where mum was looked after for a service . I have not been able to face seeing those who looked after us, or go on to the wards to thank them all for what they did. This is my first step and effort to thank St Josephs Hospice for everything they did and continue to do.

Ines supported me and spent time at the hospice with her son. She often joined me and mum at chemotherapy and radiotherapy appointments which really gave me extra strength and made mum happy. Ines has decided to come along and join me for the free fall to raise money for the hospice. She witnessed first hand how good they were to us.

I'm petrified of heights but I promised myself when mum passed
away I would face all of my fears . I know I can do this and when I
think I can't, I just remind myself how anyone with cancer feels scared
of the unknown.

Come down to Stratford if you're free to watch us hang mid air and me crying my eyes out! Below are some pictures of  mum, me, Ines and my daughter Ayla. We have also included pictures of a taster we did at The Castle climbing center. It was only 118 feet and our Orbit free fall is 262 feet above the city! Wish us luck and pray for clear skies.

Dig deep, the hospice is 50% funded by the NHS and the other 50% comes from generous donations.

Thank you so much for your support.
