Im fundraising for the Uyghur people, because no one deserves the horrendous atrocities which they have endured. Over 2 million Uyghur Muslims are being held in re-education camps concentration camps in China, where they are tortured, raped and forced to denounce Islam. Its heart-breaking. I am happy to say that over 67,000 Uyghur refugees have managed to flee the genocide in China, and are now living in Turkey. However, being a refugee is not easy for anyone. The Uyghur have escaped the emergency, but they are still struggling to cope in a new country. Im encouraging people to donate to Penny Appeal, so that they can help these Uyghur refugees to get back on their feet. A donation of £90 could provide a Uyghur refugee with medical care and treatment, which is so important now during COVID-19.
