whilst we were on vacation in Goa, we stopped by at the Stepping Stones Shelter in Margao in 2011. We were overwhelmed with those very humble love hungry children . We both cried and promised that one day we would come and give our time to this wonderful cause. Over time with our working life and getting our children settled we decided that as soon as we retire this would be one of the first projects we would accomplish. Unfortunately I lost my wife in April 2016. when I was clearing some of the paperwork in her numerous folders, I came across her Tree of Life. And there , written in her own writing, was her Goal in life to give up work  and help deprived children.

My wife was no ordinary person. She  had warmth and passion in life. She was full of love for anyone that appeared in her life, be it a child or an adult. She was there for anyone who wanted guidance and advise to reach a goal. she was the most charitable person especially when it came to children. We helped many poorer communities no matter where we visited, be it Africa or India over the last 10 years. Her charitable heart opened up each time and there was no hesitation to help.

About El Shaddai.

The El Shaddai Charitable Trust is a registered, non-profit Charity working in Goa and other States of India, implementing the Child Rights and Juvenile Justice for orphans, street children and children coming from economically underprivileged conditions. Children are cared and provided with food, clothing, shelter and education, for a better future. We have residential Homes, Day Care Centres, Community Centres, and Cottages for the seniors who are attending University, Colleges, Technical Institutions and Professional Training Centres & working with us as Trainees and Staff. We have Manna Khana free food distribution programme on week days. Manna takeaway packets are provided for around 300 poor children and adults living on the streets.

We have a number of schools in the slum areas providing educational facilities to the children. In addition to this, our outreach projects continue to benefit and change lives in the South-West States of India. El Shaddai has impacted over 4000 children and continues to touch more lives through its various initiatives. We want to reach out to many more children with the love of God. In the year 2013, ESCT has been accredited by Credibility Alliance which is one of the Leading Accreditation Agencies in India.
