Story
Our planet is facing a climate emergency. The problem is the worst impact of climate change are being felt by the most vulnerable and least responsible.
I'm fundraising for Unicef's Cyclone Idai emergency appeal. Cyclone Idai has triggered devastating floods across southern Africa. With almost 1 million children in danger, we urgently need your support. Unicef is working with government and partners across the region to ensure children and families get the emergency supplies they need and the vital support for the months ahead. Please support my fundraising so that Unicef can respond to children and families with life-saving support. Fundraise for children affected by Cyclone Idai today.
If I reach my target (£500) I will be shaving my head to donate it to the Little Princess Trust who have been helping children and young people since 2006. They provide free real-hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions. Their greatest need is hair donations 16” (41cm) or longer.
It is something I’ve been planning to do for the past couple of years. I’ve been allowing my hair to grow, keeping it strong and healthy as possible. Now I find it right to give it away to someone during their difficult and painful time in their lives. My hair will grow back but for many, it won’t. My hair varies in the length of 27” (70cm).
