I'm fundraising for Unicef's Cyclone Idai emergency appeal. Cyclone Idai has triggered devastating floods across southern Africa. If I reach my target (£500) I will be shaving my head to donate it to the Little Princess Trust who have been helping children and young people since 2006. They provide free real-hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions. Their greatest need is hair donations 16” (41cm) or longer.

It is something I’ve been planning to do for the past couple of years. I’ve been allowing my hair to grow, keeping it strong and healthy as possible. Now I find it right to give it away to someone during their difficult and painful time in their lives. My hair will grow back but for many, it won’t. My hair varies in the length of 27” (70cm).
