Currently in the UK 13 families a day suffer the heartbreak of losing their baby before, during or shortly after birth. SANDS believes research is vital in saving babies lives and works in partnership with health organisations to provide bereavement support, training programmes and research to drive change.

In my job far too many parents are referred having experience of PTSD or traumatic grief due to baby loss, treating and supporting these families can be difficult. For this reason I, along with 2 colleagues have chosen to fundraise for SANDS in the hope that any money I receive can help to better understand why and reduce the number of babies who die every day, here in the UK.
