Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are a group of local Firefighters in Haywards Heath that started off as The Bald4Butler Team. At the beginning of this year we had our heads shaved to help a colleague with Blood Cancer, sadly he lost his battle and passed away back in May.

We are now raising money for the Firefighters Charity in memory of him, our friend, our colleague Crew Commander Mark Butler.

The Firefighters Charity helps many Firefighters and their families, not only to overcome physical injuries, but also mental health problems such as PTSD and many other problems they may face in their line of work. This Charity makes a huge impact and can assist Firefighters in the UK getting back to work quicker, so they can help protect the general public, like they do 24/7 365 days a year.

On the Eve of Elf on a shelf season starting, we at Haywards Heath Fire Station have been tricked!! Our Fire Engine has been shrunk by the cheeky Elves to make themselves bigger!!

To get our truck back to the normal size we will be making the Elves walk a 7km route around Haywards Heath and surrounding Villages pushing the Fire Engine they have shrunk with us following alongside.

We will be stopping off at check points and invite the public to come see us, the Elvesand our new smaller Truck. .

Bring the kids along, have a selfie, and upload your images to Facebook and Instagram pages using #B4BElfieselfie not only will you be getting us in the Christmas spirit, you will supporting a worthwhile Charity.

We will also have donation boxes dotted around town leading the day these can be found at The Urban Sanctuary, Izzys Party Shop, The Bay Tree, Orange Square, The Stand Up Inn and the Fire Station, as well as seeing the Truck we will be giving out fire safety advice, so if you have any questions pop along to our stop of points on the day.
