Babs' 100th Birthday Walk for NHS · 14 May 2020

NHS Charities Together and its members across the UK are hugely grateful for the support received from so many since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Thursday morning I watched the emotional moment of Captain Tom completing his walk for the NHS. That same morning my very dear friend Val Bateman died in Harlow Hospital. The dedicated nursing team worked tirelessly to care and ease her suffering. I felt I have to in some way say thank you to these fantastic wonderful caring nurses and doctors. After much thought the only thing I might manage is to copy and do a walk like captain Tom. So my aim is to walk 100 steps 100 times to my 100th birthday in May to show my gratitude and give something back to the amazing staff in the Health Service.
