Story
The Lincolnshire Lockdown Babies Facebook group is made up of parents, carers and expecting families who are all bringing babies into the world during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic. As the second national lockdown begins, members are on a mission to walk as many miles as possible for this deserving cause.
The current target is 1,000 miles between November 5 and December 2.
All are logging the miles they have walked, little ones in tow, to support charity workers making dreams come true.
When You Wish Upon a Star, which has a prominent track record in Lincolnshire, has a simple mission, to grant the wishes of children living with a life threatening illness.
Some children wish to be a fairy princess or soldier for the day, meet celebrities or sporting heroes that range from the Red Arrows to Mary Berry and others wish for a laptop to keep in contact with their friends and family whilst in hospital. One of the most popular wishes remains the exciting opportunity to swim with dolphins and meet all their favourite characters in Disney World, Florida.
By supporting this charity in what had undoubtably been a difficult year, we will be helping to grant Christmas wishes and making magical memories.
