Welcome to Jake's fundraising page.
On the 14th of August 2015 at 00:49hrs, came the arrival of Jake Shane Lightning. Baby Jake is beautiful in every way and is loved by so many people, however he suffered from a very rare condition called Edward's Syndrome (Trisomy 18). Children with Edward's Syndrome live with severe physical and mental disabilities, and it sadly took Jake away from us aged just 5 weeks.
Jake's family and friends were committed to making many happy memories in the short time he was with us, and now we are determined to raise as much money as we possibly can for East Anglian Children's Hospice (EACH). This page will keep you updated through every step of our journey.
EACH helps children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions in many ways such as symptom support and specialist play, the support given to Jake and his parents was amazing. Every year EACH needs almost £6 million to continue delivering their services, so many children across East Anglia rely heavily on your donations.
A huge thank you goes to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and all the Midwives and Chaplains who consistently delivered an excellent service for Jake, Charlotte and Wayne. It's very humbling to think how caring people are in EACH and the NHS.
