Story
On March 23rd 2017 my daughter, Elisha (aged 20), had a traumatic brain injury which nearly cost her life and we owe a huge debt to Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Southampton for their expert care of her condition. A Craniectomy and an induced coma were initially performed, then over the course of six weeks the swelling of her brain gradually reduced back to normal and shortly after she turned 21 she had a Cranioplasty. Thankfully she made a full recovery, proceeded with her Chiropractic degree, and graduated in 2020. We always promised that we would do something to raise some funds for the great team at Southampton so this is our chance to say a huge thank you to all those who work tirelessly to help brain injury patients. Elisha, myself, Harry (Elisha's partner) and a great friend of mine, Nick Barker, will participate in The Hever Castle Sprint Triathlon on September 23rd 2023 which incorporates a 1k swim, 20k bike and finally a 5k run with the objective of raising as much money for the Head Injury Nurse Specialist Fund.
