Bios
Emile Heskey
Having started his career at Leicester City Emile played 154 games before signing for Liverpool FC in March 2000 for £11m. He was part of the 2001 Treble Winning team and played alongside Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler. He made over 150 appearances for Liverpool scoring 39 goals. After leaving Liverpool he went on to become a fans favourite at Birmingham City, Wigan, Aston Villa, Newcastle Jets and Bolton. An amazing career spanning nearly 700 games scoring 140 goals. He won 62 England caps which included scoring the last goal in England’s 5-1 victory against Germany in 2002. Emile penned his excellent book “Even Heskey Scored” which has been nominated for the Telegraph Sports book of the year. Preparing for life after football he is busy studying on the UEFA MIP scheme and sharing his experiences and insight in the media.
Gareth Farrelly
Known by all Evertonians as the man that scored “that goal” in 1998 that kept their beloved club in the Premier League. Having played for his boyhood club and represented his country Gareth suffered a life-threatening illness in 2008 saved only by our remarkable NHS. Following his playing career Gareth has developed a second career as a Sport & Litigation Lawyer. He is a FA Independent Football Panel Member, part of the UEFA MIP Alumni, a CAS Arbitrator and a Premier League Judicial Panel Member. In more recent times Gareth has been seen as a go to guy for opinion on some of the game’s wider issues such as financial compliance and how to protect players in the future.
