Back Up's Snowdon Push · 6 July 2012 to 8 July 2012 ·

Back Up services include mentoring, wheelchair skills training and activity courses as well as support in getting back to work or school after an injury. We provide peer led tailored support to help people adjust to a spinal cord injury and inspire independence and confidence for a positive future.

Story

The Snowdon Push is an incredible team fundraising challenge event unique to spinal cord injury charity, Back Up.

The event involves teams of between 10 and 15 people aiming to conquer the highest mountain in England and Wales – Mount Snowdon – which is over 3,500 ft high. However, one member of the team must be a wheelchair user and so as a team, this means pushing, pulling, climbing and wheeling to the summit and back down again, covering about 8 miles of mixed terrain.

Its an incredible achievement for all who take part and due to the challenging nature of the event, each team pledges to raise over £2,000 in sponsorship for Back Up – a charity who have helped thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds, and their families, to rebuild their lives following a spinal cord injury.

Thank you for making a donation who will go towards sponsoring all of the teams taking part in this fantastic fundraising event.
