BACTA Superheroes Charity Motorcycle Rides · 5 September 2017

We brighten the lives of seriously ill young people by granting wishes and providing ongoing support. Our wishes are as unique as the children themselves and whether a child wants to be a fireman, meet a real-life mermaid or even the Loch Ness Monster, we work hard to make that wish come true.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The bacta bikers were formed in 1991 by industry stalwarts Dave
Orton and Andy Murden who gathered together a group of like-minded fellow motorcyclists from companies within the UK leisure industry. Coming together under the bacta banner, the bikers arrange challenging tours every couple of years with the intention of raising money for nominated charities.

Since then, they have embarked on 13 tours and raised over £181,000.

Challenges have included John O'Groats to Lands End, which they have
completed on 3 occasions (the last time in one day!). Other memorable trips have been Monte Carlo Or Bust, To Hell and Back (Hell is a little town in northern Norway) and the pan-European tour last year, visiting Gauselmann in Germany and Novomatics in Austria and the Netherlands and covering over 3,500km raising 20,000 Euros for Rays of Sunshine.

The tours are designed to be both challenging and enjoyable for
those taking part and all costs (travel, accommodation etc) are covered by the individual bikers, so all sponsorship and monies pledged go direct to the chosen charity or good causes.

This tour will see us travel around the UK dressed as 'Superheroes' to collect generous industry pledges from wherever they are made.

Your kind donations through this page will help to boost our total and benefit more children.
