I want to smash a massive milestone and raise over £1000 for Become, so that our community will have raised over £2000 for them since the start of the Covid Pandemic. 

We've raised an incredible £1111.43 across two events in the last 18 months and I'd love to increase our impact even more!

In order to do this, I'll have to go even bigger and better than the events before! (No 24 hour stream though - I'm old now lul)

About Become

Become is the national charity for children in care and young care leavers. Their mission is to help care-experiences young people to believe in themselves and to heal, grow and unleash their potential. They work alongside them to make the care system the best it can be. 

This campaign is funraising for Become's Care Advice Line, a helpline offering confidential support to care-experience young people. Every donation will help make sure there's someone at the end of the phone when a young care-experienced person calls Become for help. Why I love Become

Become is a charity that I'm super-duper passionate about. I grew up in the care system when I was younger but was considered one of the lucky ones when I was adopted at the age of 6. My brother spent most of his teens and early adult life in care. I'd consider him lucky to have had the support of social services from 16 onwards but not every 'looked after child' or 'child in care has this experience. 

Since the pandemic started, there has been so much more uncertainty, anxiety and isolation - during this, not every child or young person had somebody to turn to. All children deserve someone to be able to turn to for advice on money, university decisions, life decisions and how to be the best version of themselves. We're fundraising to give every child in care and care leaver that same opportunity . Let's help them to grow through what they go through!

What We're Doing!

 Triathlon Event 

At the end of September/beginning of October we'll be taking part in the Become Players Triathlon Event! We'll be attempting to complete a triple gaming challenge: three days - lots of forfeits, incentives and most importantly laughter all for charity!
