Keech Hospice is a charitable organisation providing free specialist palliative and end-of-life care for adults and children in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and Milton Keynes. With a mission to help people live well and die with dignity.

Story

As one of my favourite hobbies and my main form of exercise before lockdown, I've really missed playing and socialising both on and off the court. Like many, I've been busy doing those jobs that never get done, working out, baking... but when I see my racket gathering dust, I want to do something with it. Something meaningful.

When I heard that charities were struggling during the lockdown I felt inspired to do something for a cause close to me, @keechhospice. If you've not heard of Keech, they provide free care for adults and children around Herts & Beds who have life-limiting and terminal illnesses. 3 years ago they made a world of difference to my family during our darkest time, providing invaluable care for my sister, Sam. I've always wanted to give back to Keech and since badminton is something Sam's daughter and I love to do together, why not do both?

So, starting 17 May 2020, I'm hosting the Badminton Coronalympics. 16 days, 16 badminton challenges. Let's pass the time together, have some fun and support this fantastic life changing cause. Please share this post with anyone who'll get a kick out of it, take part and follow along with #BadmintonCoronalympics, and if you can why not show some love and donate a little something while you're at it? Thank you!
