Guinness World Record Badminton Doubles Marathon Attempt - For Joining Jack · 20 June 2013

Joining Jack has the ultimate aim of finding a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, one of the most common fatal genetic conditions in the world. Recent scientific breakthroughs mean that the development of a treatment is closer than ever, and this will not only help Jack but all sufferers of DMD.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Let me explain a little about what we are doing and why;

I am part of the badminton club and myself and 3 other members are running a charity event for Sport Liverpool's chosen charity Joining Jack. The event we are undertaking is a world record attempt in the longest competitive doubles game ever, the current record standing at exactly thirty hours.

Joining Jack is a charity based around a young boy named Jack who is suffering from a medical condition known as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), meaning he will be incapable of walking by adolescence. The money raised for this charity goes towards funding medical research into treatments for this currently incurable disease.

Any donations are greatfully received and we thank you in advance for your kind generosity.

Thanks
