Balcony Festival #3 · 25 April 2020

Refuge opened the world’s first refuge in West London in 1971. We support thousands of women & children every day, experiencing domestic and sexual violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, stalking, trafficking, prostitution & so-called ‘honour’ based violence.

Story

Balcony is an online music festival in aid of Refuge, the UK's largest single provider of specialist accommodation and support to women and children escaping domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse. The show will be free to view via a number of established independent UK blogs who have collaborated to create this event. Viewers are encouraged to make a donation to the charity if they can afford to do so.

Tune in on Saturday from 1pm at www.joyzine.org and our partner blogs for exclusive sets from Alessi's ark, Salvation Jayne, Bugeye, Lilith Ai, The Seamonsters, Chemtrails, The Novus, Piney Gir, Shattercones and Little Big Noise - we're raising funds for Refuge so please give if you can.

Presented by Louise Schofield (BBC Sesh), the festival will include exclusive live performances by bands and artists selected by Joyzine, Louderthanwar, LOUD WOMEN, God Is In The TV Zine., GigSlutz, The Zine UK, Benumu, Crocroland, Sonic Tonic, The Bechdel Sound Test and Quarantini - Live Virtual Bar.
