BALI Charity Challenge 2015 · 22 October 2015

Age UK Surrey is an independent local charity helping older people make the most of life and be free from isolation, poverty and discrimination. Our activities include information and advice, counselling, health and well-being and home/gardening services. We rely on donations to support our work.

Story

If we can de-risk billion pound pension schemes surely we can conquer Everest in a day?

As part of Legal & General’s Corporate Social Responsibility strategy each individual is actively encouraged to partake in an activity which promotes a positive impact either on the environment or stakeholders. Last year the BALI team did exactly this and hosted a Charity Cycle Challenge from London to Brighton and raised a whopping £2,500 for the Royal Voluntary Service – now we aim to beat this!

This year we wanted to climb Everest but sadly we won’t make it in a day so instead we have settled on the next best thing – Box Hill.

Our ascent of Everest will involve the team collectively climbing the hill around 70 times by walking, running and cycling to contribute towards achieving our goal.

Due to the market we are in all donations go to Age UK Surrey who provide tonnes of invaluable support for the elderly.

Many thanks for your support.
