The Living Rooms project works to improve the mental health of all in our community regardless of background. Our focus is to bring individuals and groups together who would, for whatever reason, feel isolated, vulnerable, hurt, and voiceless.

We understand that better mental health helps not only the individual but the ripple effect on family and friends can be immense.

The redevelopment plan is to build a two-storey Building, and we have Planning Permission.

The Ground floor will provide a safe welcoming vibrant creative space open to all in our community.  At its centre will be a large homely kitchen where meals can be shared together and a sense of being welcomed and valued can be nurtured. There will be a creative arts therapy room and a living room.

The First floor will have 4 self-contained apartments for young adults leaving the care system as there is a current shortage of suitable safe accommodation.

There is no other similar homely welcoming community building in Ballymena and the groups we work with desperately need a space like this.
