Helen & Douglas House helps local families cope with the challenges of looking after a terminally ill baby or child who will die prematurely. We are a home from home for our patients and their families, and provide round-the-clock care in a warm, loving environment.

Story

The eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed that Claire Henson was not one of the crazy folks participating in the swimming race on Sunday 29th April at Stratford!

Sadly, due to injury, Claire had to give up her entry to the half marathon BUT, not being one to back out of a ridiculous enterprise, she has committed herself to rowing the half marathon instead.

Claire will be doing this on Saturday the 19 May (before she leaves to catch a flight to Italy for a well-earned holiday!) at Bannatynes in Banbury.  Any sponsorship you’d like to contribute to the already fantastic total raised by the runners would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

‎9 months ago a colleague and friend of mine called Katherine Boyce lost her son Jack. Jack had a disease called Tay–Sachs. He lived until he was seven. Helen & Douglas House provided Jack, Katherine and her husband Andy with tremendous support during Jack’s life. This is my reason for putting a team together to run the Stratford ½ Marathon on 29th April. All donations made will go to Helen & Douglas House. The Banbury runners

taking part are:
