Tour De Trigs · 5 December 2009

We support thousands of people living with terminal illnesses & their families, in our three hospices, via our patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home. We need to raise £12.7 million this year to provide our services free of charge – we can’t do it without you!

Story

I would like to say we are a band of ex mountaineers, adventurers and former SAS members in search of the ultimate adrenalin buzz that north Oxfordshire's rugged landscape can throw at us.

In fact we are an  motley crew of 30ish public sector workers with a suprising array of chronic health and joint problems, in search of a level of adventure we can hopefully come through in one piece. What we possibly lack in edge of your seat, break neck adventure skills we make up for in bloody-minded determination and 15 year-old boy-scout experience.

We are taking part in the tour de trigs -  a 50 mile 24 hour trek across North Oxfordshire's hazardous terrain, comprising orienteering, possible artic type conditions and a slab of blister busting action.

We are taking part in the event for Myton Hospice in Warwick - a fantastic cause that cares for those with terminal illnesses and a cause that has touched one of our closest friends. As a result we have a special reason for walking as far as our jelly limbed legs will take us. Thank You
