Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Starting on Monday 8th February 2021 members from The Band of HM Royal Marines Portsmouth (Royal Band) will be covering 1206 miles in 50 hours, by running, cycling or walking a virtual route. This will be completed over 4 days. The distance covered is the route linking each of the five Royal Marines Bands by road. These are based at HMS Nelson, HMS Collingwood, CTCRM, HMS Raleigh and MOD Caledonia. This will combine with the efforts of the Royal Marines Band Service (RMBS) who have recently launched a project called '50 For Fergie'.

'50 For Fergie' is a project for members of the RMBS to raise money by completing 50 of 'something'. This has been created in memory of Band Corporal Iain Ferguson who recently passed away.

Any money raised by The Band of HM Royal Marines Portsmouth will be donated to the British Heart Foundation, a charity of particular importance to Iain's family.

You can follow our progress on this page as the challenge takes place. We would be grateful for any amount you can donate to this amazing cause!
